  A very quaint place to eat in a very well decorated historic hotel and restaurant. My woman and I decided to look into this hotel restaurant for our upcoming wedding as we were hungry and wanting to gather additional information. The food was very well prepared and the staff was very friendly. Even though the place was packed, we only waited in line for about 10 minutes before being efficiently seated and served... and this without reservations. Despite being this busy, the staff manage to arrange for us to meet the catering manager for a brief but informative interview regarding our upcoming wedding. The price was reasonable and the ambiance was fantastic. The atmosphere is one that leaves the customer feeling like they are part of an old western. I will definitely return to this location as one does not have to stay in the hotel to enjoy a well prepared breakfast in a charming historic site.

  Business lunch. Atmosphere is fantastic, staff was great. The Philly cheese steak cooked perfect. Great experience in Nelson.

  Stayed there for 2 days. It was a real pleasure. Suites are very nice and the hotel has an awesome vibe... those who are tired of all these new fancy hotels that look the same will appreciate their stay at the Hume

  The dining/function room is small but the right size for Nelson. Ongoing renovations make getting in to the room less pleasant or easy than it will be Food is good with a nice variety. Staff a prompt and unobtrusive.

  The Hume is home to more than just a hotel; it's a local staple for gathering. I've enjoyed hanging out with friends, special occasion dinners, and concerts at the Hume,and always have a great time. No matter what day of the week, there's a good reason to head here. :)
